LAN1168ED Description

LAN1168ED is a high-voltage, high-current linear LED driver IC with adjustable overtemperature protection, suitable for 5~200V input voltage. Only one external CS resistor is required to build a complete constant current driver circuit.

LAN1168ED has a built-in 130℃ default overtemperature protection point, which can be adjusted by external resistor. External NTC thermistor enables precise temperature control for LED beads.

LAN1168ED integrates 5A/200V power MOS, max output current 1.2A; adopts low dropout driver circuit, only 0.9V dropout at 1A current.

LAN1168ED integrates optional overvoltage protection: output current automatically reduces when VIN reaches 15V to protect the chip.

LAN1168ED uses ESOP8 package with better thermal performance, ideal for 24V truck high-voltage applications.

LAN1168ED Power & Start-Up

LAN1168ED is powered by VIN pin. The chip starts working when input voltage >5V. Output current formula: Io=0.3V÷Rcs.

LAN1168ED Overvoltage Foldback (OVP)

No OVP when SEL is floating; OVP enabled when SEL connected to GND. Output current decreases automatically when input voltage exceeds 15V to protect the chip.
