Description: LAN1163E is a 100V high-voltage linear constant current IC designed by GSMicro Semiconductor specifically for 12V LED modules. Directly supplied by our Shenzhen factory, it supports 7V–100V ultra-wide voltage input without flickering, ultra-low 0.5V dropout voltage, and maximum 1.2A output current. Built-in power MOS, programmable over-temperature protection, high-voltage current reduction, and reverse polarity protection. Only 2 external resistors required. Widely used in automotive lighting, e-bike lights, low-voltage LED strips, DC LED lighting. Perfect replacement for HX319A, QX7136, SM2082 constant current driver ICs. 1. Key Features & Advantages

5. Application Notes & Design Guide
1. Constant Current Setting: Io = 0.3V ÷ Rcs. For 1A output, use Rcs = 0.3Ω, power ≥ 0.3W.
2. OTP Setting: ROTP open = 135℃; 82KΩ = 120℃; 75KΩ = 110℃. NTC near LED modules enables precise thermal control.
3. High-Voltage Current Reduction: Connect SEL to SGND to enable. Output current decreases when Vin≥15V, ideal for 12V/24V automotive/e-bike systems.
4. Reverse Polarity Protection: Series A7 diode or 1K resistor at VIN to prevent damage from reverse connection.
5. Multi-IC Parallel: VIN and DR connected together, CS pin must use independent Rcs for each IC (2 ICs reach 2.4A).
6. PCB Thermal Design: Bottom thermal pad (DR) must be soldered to aluminum PCB; use 2W thermal insulation layer; widen high-current traces.
