Description: LAN1161ED is a high-performance low-dropout constant current LED driver chip specially designed for 12V automotive lighting by Gainsemi. With ultra-simple peripheral circuit, zero EMI interference, and fan failure survive mode, it ensures high reliability in vehicle applications. Built-in 120℃ over-temperature protection, 3A/100V power MOS, and 15V overvoltage protection, it delivers 1.2A output current with 0.6V low dropout. Product Overview
LAN1161ED is a low-dropout constant current LED driver optimized for 12V automotive LED modules. It requires only two external resistors to form a complete constant current driver system with simple layout and excellent EMC performance.
Built-in 120℃ over-temperature protection (OTP) effectively controls LED temperature within a safe range and guarantees long-term stability.
With a built-in 3A/100V power MOS and low-dropout architecture, LAN1161ED provides 1.2A maximum output current with only 0.6V voltage drop, achieving high efficiency and low heat generation.
Selectable overvoltage protection automatically reduces output current when input voltage reaches 15V, preventing damage from voltage surges. Packaged in ESOP8 for excellent thermal performance.
